Default My browser HATES my profile editing abilities!!...

... and I'm not alone!!
I was speaking to mod: sexyscionlover on AIM "xbis4me" and apparently he was having troublw with this also. Best way to explain is to just copy and paste out IM, and before anyone gets undergarments in a twist, I ASKED PERMISSION to post our conversation on here...

InTheWASide: I just saw you on my buddylist but I forget... you're a mod, right?
xBis4me: yepperz
InTheWASide: has anyone reported issues with editing their profile?
InTheWASide: I'll be logged in, click the profile button and it instantly logs me out, so I can't get to the edit button

xBis4me: u have that too?!
InTheWASide: Yep
xBis4me: okay no one has mentioned it
xBis4me: i thought it was just me
xBis4me: and it was ____in me off like no other
xBis4me: r u using IE or Firefox?
InTheWASide: is it a browser setting? I tried on firefox AND IE and it does it on both
xBis4me: im not sure
xBis4me: IE does it to me
xBis4me: Firefox doesnt

InTheWASide: hmm
xBis4me: i thought i was goin crazy
xBis4me: lol
InTheWASide: lol
InTheWASide: it works fine on the IE at my work
xBis4me: weird
xBis4me: im thinkin its comp. settings
xBis4me: within the browser
InTheWASide: any idea what? cookies or popuyps, or?
xBis4me: naw im not too good at comps.
xBis4me: i wud post it under web. discussion tho
xBis4me: becuz mayb its not just us
InTheWASide: okay, I was thinkin that but realized I have a couple high up SL folks on my AIM and thought I'd go for instant gratification first
InTheWASide: instead of trying to word it all specific, you mind if I just copy and paste our IM into the web. discussion post?
InTheWASide: I can edit any "choice language"
xBis4me: go for it
InTheWASide: k, and so people aren't like "Who the F is that?!" your SN on SL is?
InTheWASide: sexyscionlover? (I forget)
InTheWASide: lol
InTheWASide: ?
xBis4me: yep
xBis4me: lol
xBis4me: sexyscionlover

InTheWASide: okay, I'll copy and paste this over with a line explaining why I'm pasting a IM
InTheWASide: hopefully someone will reply quick
InTheWASide: I have a kickass avatar I wanna use!!
xBis4me: yea
xBis4me: lol
xBis4me: k sounds good
InTheWASide: well thanks anyway
xBis4me: yea no prob. wish i cud help more

also, Firefox no longer has the same format so you must go to Clear Private Data and select Cookies and Cache

could the browsers accidentally be saving multiple cookies, and this is causing the problem?

I'm using FireFox and Safari, and aside from slugishness at times, it works perfectly.

I am beggining to think that it may no be a problem with the site but a problem with the computers.

It is definitely a cookie issue... clearing your cookies and cache, then restarting your browser has always fixed the problem. If that doesn't fix it for you, then it must be something up with your computer somehow.
