Default A new option for the site

I think that an awesome idea for this site that would probably be too complicated to do is for members to have an option to block all posts from a certain person so that they never show up to that person once they're blocked. If this is a stupid idea I'm sorry I just think it would be very useful to members on here but I understand it might be too complicated to be feasible. Thanks for your time guys.

I know there are some people that need to be ignored, but wouldn't that leave some threads unintellagible?

No more than they already leave them, sometimes...

Why would you want to do that?

There are just some people on here that to me have nothing that I want to hear and that I would not miss their posts one bit if I couldn't see them. I know pretty much everybody on here has at least one person that they can relate to, lol.

Then just don't read their post if you see their s/n... much simpler solution.

It's not their post, it's every post in an entire section of this site that they get in and carry on for page after page. If I didn't ever read the threads they posted in there would be nothing to read in that section, lol

i'd settle for being able to not have a post come up in my "ego search" that i posted in a thread months back and the thread WILL NOT DIE. (there are only a few folk who i'd ignore).

Hey guys,

With the version of the software we currently use that is not possible. If there is someone that is making a constant pain of himself then you can alert the moderators by using the button. Type a good description of the offense and the mods will look into it. You can also use it to make the site a better place by suggesting threads that need to be moved, cleaned up, etc.
