hey, last night i tried to upload some pictures to my gallery, and one of them ended up being severely pixelated no matter how many times i deleted + reuploaded it. I thought it was a fluke, so i just didnt use that picture anymore.

fast forward to 10 minutes ago, i see that another user has the same problem-

just a heads up

 

The brute-force resizing of images in the gallery by browsers is a very simple and brutal algorithm. Unless the pics are uploaded in the exact size the gallery server likes, it forces your browser to play with them and the results aren't always nice.

(Gallery pic width = 700 pixels - anything else will suffer.)

Again, this was a quick fox for another problem, I will give it some attention in the next couple of days.

Feel free to upload any size... I am going to code it a little more elegantly so that it works better.

 

OK, it should be fixed now... image smaller than 700 will display at their native size, larger will be displayed at 700.
