^someone who cares about thier money would research this way before dealing with them.
Before you do buisiness with a place, you should always find out what you can about them and thier pratices.
People respond differently to advertising, I am a skeptic, but when I am watching television and a commercial comes on for some crap I kmow doesn't work at all, let alone how the commercial says it works, I dont call the network and tell them to pull the commercial. Its my responsibility to be aware, and to defend myself from the bombardment of advertising i face everyday.

I'd like to think as a community, with similar interests that we would all watch each others back.

A few days ago, I ordered a sub, box and amp from one of our advertisers. I felt comfortable giving these people my money because they were on this website. If there was problems with this person, my fellow "peeps" as well as the powers that be would not allow them to advertise on this site. Hmmmm....maybe not?

I also went out of my way to tell this person where I found out about his business. I told him I would place a positive post on ScionLife if everything works out as planned.

Word of mouth, mention this website when you can, and we will not have to depend on questionable advertisers revenue to survive.

I have pursued and demanded that sponsors refund money, and in one case kicked a sponsor from the site. If a sponsor was out to steal money from our members I would not let it stand for a moment.

However, it seems that carsponsorships.com is selling an opportunity to gain legitimage sponsorship. Obviously they can not get big-time sponsorship for everyone that signs up, but they are giving them SOMETHING. They don't promise that GReddy is going to ship a turbo kit the day after signup and anyone that thinks that is going to happen is obviously naive.

They promise they will do their best to match the car owner to a sponsor, that is all. I have no reason to believe that they aren't doing their best to do just that.

An email response from carsponsorships.com...

Hi Glen,

We understand your concern and appreciate you asking for our information. Some individuals feel that it is not necessary to pay to get sponsored. Getting sponsored on your own is possible through hard work, research and investment. But here at Carsponsorships.com we have streamlined the process of getting sponsored through major companies such as Blaupunkt USA, Dunlop, Tsunami, B&G Suspension, and others. We have already spent a great deal of time making sponsorship partnerships with these companies. This means that individuals seeking sponsorship do not have to go through a complex process of researching and short-listing companies, identifying the key person and approaching them with their proposals. Since our sponsorships are pre-developed, they are readily available to those who apply provided they pass our eligibility criteria. When someone gets sponsored though us they will always receive a full sponsorship. In addition to the full sponsorship, we generally issue them a quasi-sponsorship that allows them to purchase products at below wholesale price. We do not over-inflate prices and do not get paid on the back-end. Companies like Blaupunkt USA, B&G and other partners have set aside special pricing for our sponsored members.

Why do we issue smaller sponsorships to start? Our partners have hired us to screen individuals and present them with only the most qualified. By issuing smaller sponsorships we can track individual’s progress, evaluate their performance and determine if they are suitable to be presented to our sponsors in lieu of larger sponsorships.

Many of our members have been featured in magazines, car shows and other publications. We also select 5 members to be featured in each Hot Import Night Show. These individuals are chosen based on their attitude and reliability. With over 20 HIN Shows, 100 of our members get fully sponsored with tires, suspension, lighting, etc. We continually express the importance of keeping in contact with their sponsors. Attached is a current project we're working on and below is a link to a rebuttal that may be of interest to you.
