Default Search Bar...Not Working

My search bar hasn't been working since last night around midnight....I've cleared all the cookies and everything, but to no avail. Is this happening to anyone else? Every time I type in something to search for (ie. "tC"), it comes up with "no posts available" or something like that. please help.....

Both the quick search bar and the search button work for me.

You can't search for any words shorter than three characters. I don't know why they didn't provide a better error message, but that is why you have having trouble for 'tC'. Try a three-letter word or greater and it will work.

Tip: Choose the tC forum areas when you do a detailed search and you should only pull up tC topics.

Yet another stupid limitation of the software. You see, there is a list of very common words that will not work when you search because they are too common and will create a huge load on the server. The word "best" is on that list, so it halts the search process. Of COURSE it doesn't tell you WHY nothing is pulled up. Dumb search!

And the word sub doesn't pull anything up because that word just isn't in the system, I guess. Hmmm... although it IS in this topic. It isn't in the stoplist... I have NO idea why the word "sub" pulls up no results. Argh.

Well, the new software will improve everything... I'm just waiting for it to get out of beta and I will get it upgraded.

Interesting.
"best and sub and woofer" = 0 results
"best and woofer" = 393 results
"sub" must have been in some of those threads so isn't therefore "in the system"?

Yeah, I went into mySQL and played around and there are 6264 instances of the word "sub" in this forum. Hmmm.

I really have no idea why it won't pull up. The search in phpbb is messed up, thats all I can say. The new software is almost ready, we'll just have to wait.

Try searching using Google:
