Why don't Mods delete SOLD or Pls lock threads?
just to clean up the classifieds?
can the OP not delete the thread?
i do that on some forums I am on, when it's sold, just delete the thread.
easy way to keep the active stuff seen

the classfieds gets purged every so often and certain threads we keep around just as records of the transaction in case something in the future comes up and the information is still there.
other threads may be moved out of view but not deleted for the same reason.. just depends on the situation.
