Clear Corner Headlights
i didn't read the whole thing, so if someone alreday said this sorry.
a suggestion for when you break the reflector. heat up the end of the screwdriver and melt a hole in the reflector. it jus makes it easier to get the pieces out and you don't have to hit anyting with a hammer.

So a long while ago, i took the emblems off the back, and i wanted to do something with them. I don't know why, but i decided i was going to dremel the leters through and put lights behind it. I thought it would be an awesome idea. So i did it and i bought a 3 blue bulb led kit at auto zone for 10 bucks. I couldn't figure out how to mount lights behind it so it could reflect throughout the emblem, and i didn't want the light to directly shine through and blind people, because they are so bright. So i decided to mount one to the left of the S pointed in, in the middle of the C pointing toward the middle I, and one behind the bottom of the N, so that way, all would be covered somehow. But again, i didn't know how to mount them behind the emblem, but i remembered that i have a billet grill, and i could just shove them between the rows of metal on the grill. It was half butt, but it worked. Then i looked at the scion emblem on the original grill and i noticed the emblem on the front is the exact same one as in the back, so i took it off the front emblem off the emblem mount and decided to put the one i cut with the dremel on it. so i drilled holes on the black plastic on the emblem holder from the front where the leds were positioned on my billet grill. I also glued aluminum foil on the black plastic behind the letters of the emblem so the light could reflect throughout. I then popped the lights, in wired it up, glued the emblem on the emblem mount, and i was done! Lot of work, but it looks cool, and it was fun! Not really, just fun to look at!
I did this last night. Took around 35 minutes start to finish. Simple mod, and I got to put in my SilverStar Fog lights since I had the bumper off. I'll be doing the emblem next week sometime! Guessing it's just Dremel out the black parts and put a LED back there? Sweet!
great write up. at 1230 am i took the laptop outside and followed the pics, its 2am and im done cleaning up all the tools and what not. I left the stock bulbs ill buy the blue ones next week. i cant wait! i did get some dings on the inside of the first one, but like others said its not noticable till you are like staring into it. lol. thanks!!!
