I used the oven method on my truck's headlights. You just need to heat up and loosen the silicon around the headlght and pry apart. You may be able to get them open without using the oven too. Here's a link on how to do it. It's for a truck but it's the same process though: http://www.fbody.com/members/spookfest/headlightmod.htm

Default Great post

I know more than jack but less that $hit about cars and I was able to clear my corners. Great tech 'How to.' The amber clips were **** though. It took forever to bust them and then the clips got stuck it. You have to hit em hard and get them to shatter with one hit.

I'll have to take up LowProMofo on the oven method next time.
Thanks for all the tech help for those of us that aren't the most knowledegable.

This is where I got mine. Make sure you change the drop down menu to amber instead of superwhite. It finishes off the cleared-out headlight look.

Default Way cheaper than storebought

Took me 2 hours (that includes and episode of the simpsons as a break) and now i have clear corners. The difference is rediculous, it looks like a whole new car! I put green running lights and turn signals in and it looks totally custom, and it only costed me about $10 .:Sweet:.

Just Finished the job over the weekend....scratched the daylights out of one side but you really can't see the scratches on the inside unless you look really hard...the outside of the light is angled so that the eye is not able to focus on the inside. I bought some clear lights made by Sylvania at PEP BOYS...after the install they look like about 10 different colors depending on how the light hits them.

Ok.... So far, these two sites have been mentioned for the chrome bulbs that light up amber. Anyone know which number we need for the xb?

Thanks for the awesome write up I did mine today and it was really easy except for one day piece that I had trouble getting out. I eventually did though and it looks badass. Sorry for the quality of pics. I'm running Lumincs UV H4 headlights and Sylvanvia Silvestar 1157 Corners.
