Default help! headlights problem

i just got my pioneer Avic-d3 installed along with an amp and sub... now sometimes my passenger light headlight doesn't turn on... i have HIDs... sometimes it won't turn on and i have to keep turning it off and on until it finally turns on.. this doesn't always happen but it happens 1/4 times... never happened until this latest install and when the lights do turn on, they are still bright so its not the bulb.. it also isn't the ballast of the HIDs because the power light is on, just the bulb doesn't turn on. Any ideas what could be wrong?

i dont think the d3 install is the issue.

i have pilot HIDs... but there were no problems to my HIDs before my latest install... could it be a power issue? because the amp takes alot of power

That could cause a problem. Also turning your HID's on and off rapidly is really not good for them.. that can cause them to not turn on..

did you tap into any power sources that are shared with the hids? if so, double check all the connections

the battery was my first thought but if that is the problem..why would it only be the passenger side headlight that doesn't turn on at times because the driver side always turns on... and why does it only happen at certain times and not every time

you should also try to swap the bulbs with the drivers side and see if the problem resumes. if the bulb does the same thing on the drivers side, then you know who the culprit is...
good luck
