That would be hard. You can't really get everything for $300. You can barely upgrade your speakers on that budget. Well depending on what speakers you get.

You can get a decent HU for that price too or less.

the best thing you can do at that price is get a cheap subwoofer/amp combo. if you already have a subwoofer then then the next best thing to do is upgrade your head unit.

^^^ x2. I forgot about that. A good amp and sub will do wonders with sound.

I managed to find a cheap amp on craigslist, and got a free sub from my brother, so for under 60 dollars, I got a halfway decent setup that kicks like crazy. I plan on upgrading it, so I would reccommend that you just save your money and go with some JLs eDs or Rockford Fosgates when you have the money, otherwise you'll just end up replacing it later like me.

thats wahat i was lloking at just two subs and an amp i was thinking along the lines of subs would be two 12's the Pioneer TS-W251R and the amp wold be Pioneer GM-5300T.

and would be just curious if that would all work.

just for a little more kick and would come out to like 320....

i disagree. he'll of course want to go with something of higher quality later on, but almost any cheap (functional) sub/amp combo will tide him over until he can get something more extravagant.

the scion stock sound system is terrible without a lower frequency fill.

I do agree that it'll tide him over, but I guess my point was that I only dumped 60 bucks into a setup that would have cost like 350 new, but there's no way I would spend that on the stuff I have. I'm saying I'd save a little bit more and get some good stuff if I couldn't find a good deal like that. That's imo though, to each their own.

350 is pretty much half the cost of a decent setup. wait another 2 months when you have 700 and do something that would hit better and sound better and you'll be much happier.

don't spend 350 now and 800 later when you can just spend 800 in an intermediate time
