ok so i just got my 2gen xb and already have a list of mods to do. Mainly the headlights and tails. The headlights seem a lil buged eyed to me. Althu im lookin at gettin mobilehid 800k lights (if i can ever figure outif there leagel or not) so does any1 know of any new degsines for the headlights and taillights that would be more suited for blacking out? or do i just have to black out the OEM head's now and wait for tail's?

 

Aftermarket xenon kits are illegal but we all have them anyway. Some police officers might stop you for the 8000k overly blue lights bust most wont. (Just wondering, why do you guys get 8000k lights as opposed to 4300k or 5000k?)

 

honestly i have no clue bout headlights at all lol. i hada 98camry b4 thisso i dont know jack or jane bout mods. I just figured if im gonna getaftermaket hid headlights i should go all the way

 

4300k has the most light output and a warm white color to it
5000k is crystal white with slightly less light output
6000k has a hint of blue and even less
8000k is blue, less light
12000k is purple

it all depends of what you're looking for. most light or specific color.

 

Dont get 8000k hids they are worthless & annoying. You're best off with 4300k or 5000k (which is what I went with). I like 6000k in a non-projected headlight, but since we have projectors, they will look too blue.

 

You might be disappointed if you get 8000k lights and are looking for lights similar to a bmw, acura, infiniti, etc.

 

I am running 8K and love them.. Don't know why he would be disappointed. I ran them in my tC also. Had no issues with them and I like the output from them.
