Default MSF - Advise on where to take and when?

Hey everyone.

I am curious if anybody in this area has taken their MSF and if so, where and how was the class? I know the Spring and Summer months are coming up and tend to be the time when people want to get certified.

Thanks!

Brian

Motorcycle Safety Foundation =) It's a course one should take before getting on a motorcycle. Teaches the basic rules, how to basically stay alive and what not.

Check your local community college.
The CC in Portland offers the MSF course.

i just finished mine, took it with Puget Sound Safety. I t was worth every penny I paid. The instructors were great, it was a hoot and a half to do, I tok my course in Lacey because it was teh first one I could get into but they also do it in Tacoma.

The dangerous part is seriously when I went out the day after I passed and bought a brand new Buell.... ;)

msf was pretty fun. the classroom part was more boring than my math lecture, but out on the range, its fun. i took it in august, down here in cali, so the temperature wasn't very friendly to me. but other than that, they're pretty cool about things. the only mistake i made was actually accelerating too slowly from a turn. to an asian teenager. that was a first.
edit: their bikes kinda sucked tho. kept stalling on me waiting for my turn during the evaluation....

register now for one in spring. if you wait until march they typically are full for the rest of the year. also try to get the subsidized course if possible.

the msf classroom part is actually very very boring but it's one of those things you just have to deal with. I could have gone through their entire book and had it memorized in a few hours, not 2 days.
