Default speakers - rattles - dynamat????

car: 2007 scion tc
problem: rattles - door panels, back panels, trims (because of speakers)

Unfortunately this is common, , I've heard many solutions, I've tried some of them. If I push the door panels with a finger, or the back panels, the rattles stop. How the hell do I fix it? Is Dynamat (or equivalent) a solution? Is it worth paying that much? Will it solve the rattles? Do apply Dynamat on the metallic part (on the door) or on the back of the panels (on plastic)? I wish there were screws I could tighten

I had a professional seal my doors with dynamat pro when i got my speakers and amps put in. I have *no* rattles in my doors, or pretty much anywhere else for that matter (audio-related, anyway). Another benefit is the mid-bass from the door speakers is much better (thanks to air behind the speaker being isolated from the front of the speaker by the dynamat surrounding the entire area).

They did a real pro job, covered the entire door and took a heat-gun to it, etc. They also did parts of my trunk, etc. You can do this yourself of course, but it takes a bit of work, and it will be a tighter fit to get the door panels back on, but i think it is worth it.

you need a couple rolls just for the doors alone... and you should try to cover the entire door in a single sheet and just cut the holes for the speaker (and anything else) out of the sheet. I don't know which is best, or what the differences are. I know they used dynamat pro on my doors...

Im sure there is a tutorial on the boards here somehwere. Good luck, and keep us posted on how it works out.

Awsome I love dynamat! If you have a Best Buy near you Id buy 2 rolls and see if you need any more after that and buy as you need.
