finally the first mod to the TC is here!! i got the black injen intake and its awesome, just got done installing it!!

I love the sound, i left it as SRI because of all the rain here in good ol graysharbor

you might actually!!! but the intake tube when it connects to the throttle body it seems that it doesnt go down all the way but its hitting the metal of the throttle body..,but its on there and not goin anywhere im just goin to compare it to my friends cause he has the same intake and same car but 07 lol

 

Sounds like it needs a bit of turning to get it perfect........my Weapon R was the same way........had to turn like 50 tiles at small angles to get it to line up just right........

Does Ingen SRI roar like the Weapon R.........mineis louder than the exhaust.........LOL

 

My ETD is louder than both the intake and exhaust on mine!

 

are you using the Cold air box and ram air BZinn?

 

No I haven't got the box yet..........I been looking at it though.......I am still working on making a duct work to the engine bay to pipe in cold air..........does the box work well???

except for summer up here it is pretty cool year round and the car runs well but during summer I noticed lag in the throttle response from the hot air.......lot of lag.........

Most of the old hot rods I built had the same problem as well withthe heat.......even with ram air and ducts..........

 

well weapon-r gave u their ram air peice right? It works good, just route it to that lower side vent. Wont work with stock grills since theres no holes. I have figure llc grills and i just mounted em behind that. works perfect. The cold air box was actually low quality. not worth 100 bucks, but it does help and it looks sexy so i got it.

 

Yep they gave me the tubing.........I also went to Shucks one day and found they also sell the tubing so I am gonna put it on both sides to pump in colder air ........yeah I gotta pull out my vents and drill them out and file them so they are open.........doc I said if I send him a template he will cut me a piece to fit in the lower grill area on each side to vent it in.this summer when I get a few bucks saved I am doing the VRD fogs.

 

oooh coo Ram air will just get yur filter dirty quicker tho, but yeah its better.
