Default feels like i'm auto-xing already

...with all the extra mental energy and use of my quick reflexes when I'm driving nowadays.

I fractured my fifth metacarpal bone (in my dominant and writing hand no less) and am expected to be in that cast for about a month.

Advice: Try not to break any bones. Driving one-handed is a PITA - Can't talk on my cell, mess with my stereo, eat, or read a book anymore while I'm driving. And you can forget about flipping the bird or honking excessively when someone cuts you off.

Probably a good thing.

I punched the hard part of a person's head with my useful right hand, insteading of punching the soft part with my semi-useful left hand. Fortunately, this may help (force) me to become ambidextrous.

I'm glad I drive an automatic.

Yeah, punching things can do that, broke my left hand years ago punching a wall, and I'm left handed, lol.

Ouch! Sorry to hear about ur hand. Yup, back in high school I taught this guy a lesson and that's how I broke my right thumb. It was ok I had a valid excuse to get out of any class/home work and the guy couldn't show his face at school for a week. But I learned a couple lessons:

1. Don't take off a cast early, thumb never set right
2. Straight punches, DON'T SWING!

Crap.

You mean take it off early for good, or just taking it off in general (for cleaning, scratching, etc)? (hoping for the first one)

I had one of those casts you couldn't take off at all, gawd it sucked. I was getting pretty good at writing with my left.
