I love it except for the beechwood. It seems too pretentious.
None of you guys grabbed that FREE copy of the Scion 2007-2008 brochure from your local dealer? There is a full spread article with much nicer (glossy) pictures of this "Dalek" project in that brochure. And a couple other project cars as well. The xB Project car had some kind of rocket launcher thing... I think it was more like a bird-feeder gun. LOL. That's how I knew about it. I actually read the Toyota-Scion brochure. =)
If you ever stop by your local Toyota dealer, just grab a free copy of the brochure. It's free. And if nothing else, the brochure (very nice glossy color photos of all 3 models) is a very good way to show other friends (co-workers, etc) since many of them have no freakin clue what a Scion is.

But yeah, I know what you're saying about not going back to the dealer unless there's problems. the dealer that sold my 2009 xD is like over 30 miles away. my car runs like a beauty, so I don't expect to visit them any time soon.

most of the time they are preproduction vehicles that are used for marketing and demo. they are not allowed to be driven on public roads and etc. big liability. once scion gets their marketing value out of them, they crush them so the liability of the vehicle itself is gone. may seem like a big waste to you but its better for big corporations to do this to make sure they are safe

The 5k and 10k visits are supposed to be free. It does NOT matter if you visit the original dealer that sold you the car, or another Scion dealer close to you. It should be free. If they tell you that you are supposed to pay for that 5k or 10k maintenance checkup, then tell them you will report them to Scion headquarters.
