i opened the xB hatch on my first visit to the dealer and was happy for the "button" instead of manual open.

then i bought my xA and was like WTF? no electric hatch?

anyone tried a swap? it'd kick the nuts off of trying to retrofit a door popper or some crap like that..

any idea how much just the solenoid/popper/handle would run me?

thanks!

Joel

do a little thinking for yourself....

why would one want their rear hatch to be electrically operated?

possibly for remote open from alarm transmitter?

oh crap, i gave you the answer

makes sense, i wasnt refuting why one would want one, i was saying that its not a big deal opening it yourself
oh well, hahaha

automation is good.. besides, I would want something like that for the xA as well, i'm lazy enough as it is :P

Well the Hatch itself wont come close to fitting and getting the parts off one would be too much hassle. Just look into the Popper retrofit.
