I am looking to adding some LED lights to brighten up the cup holder area. I wantt o run off the headlight fuse so the LED's only come on when I need light. Can some one tell me the best way to run the wire from the engine area to the inside of the vehicle.

why do you need to run a wire from the engine compartment inside to do this???
all the wires are inside for this mod.
run the wire from the headlight switch (wires are in the steering column).

an easier way to get this done is like the RS1.0 style (or the randode kit)
tap the power off of the cig. lighter. put a switch on one side.
that way you could turn them on and off any time the car is on (not on and off with the headlights)
(do you have a test light or multi meter?)

That sounds simpler. I do not have a test meter . As far as a switch where can I get one that would look factory installed? I notcied there is slots for what appears to be 3 or 4 switches on te center console. Are those standard size

don't know about a factory switch. try a pepboy or autozone place...
or you could get a switch from toyota (like the foglight switch)
i suggest you get a test light or multimeter. so you can test for positive and negative wires.

for my cupholder lights, I tapped into the lights for the shift indicator light. (This is for Autos only) Was easy to wire, but I wish they were switchable like the rest...

 :D
I like the first one because it has nice pics and the second one because if you have no clue how to wire the switch or how you should connect ure cathodes this post has a nice wire diagram in the middle of the page...
Hope all of this helps....

there is a gasket on the driver's side above the break pedal with a whole bunch of wires coming out of it. Send it through that.
