hahaha when i first got it i was like "$#%@$^ now i have to get short shifter..." but instead of spending the money on one i just cut it down like 1.5in and re threaded the shaft.....works perfectly. the only thing i regret is cutting the "knotch" below the ****....when you get yours just take off the chrome piece and slide teh boot over the piece that the mustang **** has...thats what its for....it will look 10x better...if you do decide to cut it, you will have a chrome and aluminum ring together...but heres mine....it matches the waterfall perfectly

when you cut it down 1.5" was it sitting at the same height as stock or was it lower?

my goal is to have the **** be about 1" lower then the stock one so im not sure what shifter height i should get yet

thanks

It's a 2" height reduction, also I didn't us the oem collar, I just pulled the boot up over the collar piece on the **** and zip tied it from underneath to keep the boot from slipping off the ****.

if so does it sit higher then stock? sits about the same

is a screw in type? yes

does the stock boot fit? if you have sotkc shifter you can stretch the boot to fit but it usually pops off when shifting gears, get a short shifter with a height reduction and itll fit fine. (i have 2" reduction)

how does the colors match? good

it feels pretty much the same.
ive slipped gears a couple times cuz of it though.
the sides are like leather but the top is a kind of plastics and gets slippery if your palms are sweating.
