I found this also on the Honda-Tech forum.. this guy has a built D16Y8 (1.6L) 8.6:1 compression, and a T04E 60trim turbo .63 Stage 3 w/ 3" exhaust...





But to his credit - I think he's suffering from a boost leak.. it still shouldn't be that bad even with that size turbo.

Remember he is spooling it with 1.6L of displacement. You have 2.4L! THAT is a HUGE difference.


Typical Turbo Honda....TQ-less wonders. Here is one we did with our race manifold! Notice the TQ


1.7L with a T3/T04E 57 trim, Stage 3 .48 A/R

I have another one, different customer with the same manifold. 1 sec lemme find it.

Oh yeah I know his displacement is much lower.. and plus his compression is also much lower.

But his main issue (according to the thread) was his boost leak. I just think it's funny how he only has a 1.5k powerband with a 7k revlimit.. lol!

He's not going to get much use out of that turbo unless he raises his revlimit and fixes his leak.

dang lag, i could fall asleep before it pulls haha but some hondas does have those kind of lag especially those running extra large turbo and tries to get high HP

That's alright.

I still feel that on our 2.4L, the .48 AR hotside is still great because of our low revlimit. The .63 may give just a tad more HP at the very top - but unless the revlimit is upped to say 7k, I think the quick spool and more lowend torque may feel more fun.
