It typically takes approx 3 months if the car is coming from Japan --
if your xD is at the port (I assume its at the US port, not the one in Japan) then I would imagine it would take another 2-3 weeks to arrive at the dealer (just guesstimating).

It took my dealer 3 weeks after my deposit day, they had to trade allocation on the shipment with another dealer since we wanted VSC in MG, after it was at port it took ~a week. Only option I had added was rear bumper cover and mats. Oh in norther CA by the way. And grats on the car it's sooo worth the wait... and great color choice by the way!

me = Amherst guy

I waited about 4 weeks for mine, but this was in August and I bought an 08 and they found one that was on the way already. This is not a big Scion area given the presence of a significant American auto industry, so if they don't have what you want, it takes awhile.

Hopefully it'll come soon... its worth the wait.

Which dealership are you dealing with?

If you have the VIN number the dealership should know EXACTLY where it is at all times until you drive it away.

Ask to talk to the Salesmanager, don't even let the salesman dink you around. The manager will/should know how to track the shipment of the car.

I was on the other end of your situation, they told me 3 weeks and I got mine that week...lol sorry to rub that one in. I didn't sleep for a week but I couldn't budge on the Blue the moment I first saw it.

It'll be worth the wait TRUST ME! Whether you have to wait 3 months or a week, you should never get tooled around tho. I was lucky enough to know my salesman personally and he took great care of me but I know he does the same for every customer.

Depends on the exact option set you got... but everything should be available quite quickly except the VSC-equipped version (rare).

I'd call another local dealer to see what their stock is and if they can get an ETA for your xD. It sounds like this dealer is running circles around you.

Because I would rather wait and get the exact color I wanted after all it's your $ and you should get what you want. Some people would just have the car now and be satified with what ever color but not me. We also wanted VSC so even if some other dealer had the color the VSC was rare as xravexboix mentioned. Although another dealer close by did have my color w/VSC but it had about 30 miles on it so I still decided to wait since we really didn't have immediate need for the car. 3 weeks got me a car/color/option I wanted with 8 miles on the clock. Patience grasshopper patience.
