CEL issues, please help!
ok, so i put my megan header on. and the CEL came on. i purchase on the the anti-fouler, or CEL fix spacers. and the light was off for a while after installing it. weve now found out i need to buy either a second straight spacer, or one of the 90degree angled ones.
my second straight piece should be here tomorrow. if that doesnt work, what else can i do? ive heard theres a wideband o2 sensor that wont throw so many codes.
i just dont wana be runnin my car with a CEL on all the time, dont wana hurt my car. and i can feel it not runnin full power because of the CEL.
some one please give me some advice if youve encountered this problem and fixed it!
thanks!

depends on what the CEL is, it wont hurt your car..you're putting an antifouler so basically you're tricking the O2 sensor.. O2 sensor code due to headers wont hurt your car.. i dont know about that wideband O2, are you trying to use it as an antifouler?
The CEL for the header does not cause the car to run in limp mode, less power, etc. That CEL only tells you the primary CAT is not doing its job (AKA missing). It wont hurt your car. However, you dont want it on all the time since you will not know if another code is set.
O2 sensor type is not the cause. The second O2 is there to monitor operation of the CAT. The ECU doesnt see the correct difference in readings between the two once you remove the CAT, telling the ECU that the cat is no good or missing. The antifoulers simply pull that one out of the flow a bit to trick the ECU into thinking the cat is doing something.

PM InLikeFlint for CEL fix. If you use antifoulers, disconnect the negative terminal on the battery. Then start your car and let it idle for 15 minutes without reving the engine. This is the same if your use the CEL fix from InLikeFlint.
That is one poorly constructed sentence
Any aftermarket header (it is an inline 4.. .so the header is not plural) for the tC will come sans the pre-cat. This is what causes the CEL. The antifouler will work, or it wont, but it is not going to damage anything.

LIke engifineer suggested a great fix is to find a muffler shop that will weld a new bung for you after the cat.then cut each wire on the sensor plug and soldier in a longer piece and seal it and move to new bung and plug the old bung.
But before doing this try the L eliminator.I have it on mine and have never tossed a CEL in over 8000 miles now.
