the flashing of the hazards wont work right....

the pulsed output from the parking lights will mess up the flaser for the hazard...
you need to use a constant when alarm is triggered...

IMO, it will look dumb to have bothe sets of light flashing....

You would need to have a constant +12V output from the alarm to feed into the hazard light circuit not a pulsed output. The circuit for the hazard lights has it's own integrated flasher wired in... so the end result will not really look all that hot. The hazards won't be synchronized with the parking lights... they will look more random.

You could do it by tapping the siren output wire (+12V) and feeding it into the hazard light button wiring harness. I am assuming that the trigger for the hazards is positive... if it is a ground-actuated trigger then you would need to use a relay to reverse the polarity on the siren output wire feeding into the hazard circuit.

Anyone know if the TC is prewired for the factory sub or do you have to buy a kit? Thanks for the help!

Just finished wiring up a friend's line out converter for an amp/sub install on his tC. Since there is no writing on the wire and it follows no real wiring convention I know of... I figure I'll try to clear it up a bit.

2005 - Scion tC Stock Head Unit wire guide.

Looking at the head unit from the rear, there are two plugs on the right side and two empty sockets on the left. On the far right is a big plug with lots of wires, we will call this Harness A. Just to the left of that but still on the right side of the head unit is a smaller plug with about 5-6 wires comming out of it, this we will call Harness B.

Harness A Wires -

Radio 12v blue - On the far right side bottom IIRC
Radio Ground brown
Radio Ignition gray - Tap this one to control amp power via the remote wire.
Radio Illumination green
Power Antenna - orange - Does this actually do anything?
LF Speaker Pos. - Pink
LF Speaker Neg. - Purple
RF Speaker Pos. - lt. green
RF Speaker Neg. - blue - Looks identical to the 12v, but on the left side below the light green RF Speaker Pos. wire.

Harness B Wires -
small white wire comming out of the middle???

LR Speaker Pos. - brown
LR Speaker Neg. - yellow
RR Speaker Pos. - red
RR Speaker Neg. - white - lower gauge (thicker) than the other white one mentioned above.

Aside from the coloration of the wires the only markings are silver dots every couple of inches or so, all the wires save one have single sliver dots, one, the small white one on harness B as I recall has 2 silver dots.

I would also like to know what the aux input wiring for the 06 looks like. Trying to use the 06 head in an 05. Sure would be nice to have the feature of aux input since the head allows for it.
thanks

It says parking light switch is a 30 pin brown pin # 29, but where do you start counting to figure out which on is pin #29?

SquallLHeart

there is a mark that denotes pin #1..

that or just start counting at one corner and when you get to #30.... hope that's a brown wire.
