Correct me if I'm wrong.

I think all you need to do is remove the black triangle on the inside of the door that houses the tweeter for your radio. (Should pull right off as it has just a plastic plug holding it in 06')There will be a plug that needs to be unpluged and then a few bolts to unscrew and it should pop right off.

Just install the new one, bolt it up and plug in the wire harness.

 

... that's to remove the entire side mirror.. which was not asked.

you need to cut that sucker open.

 

That write up is on a TC mirror. I believe an 06 XA does not use LEDs and the bulb can be replaced without the cutting. The rest of the dismantle is close to the same though.

 

The xA mirror and the tC mirrors ARE the same! I had the dealer change mine and $$$$. Much luck on doing yourself!

 

'06 xA, and all year tC have the same mirrors, I just saw the inside of one, and there is soldering required I think.
