Default Performance Plan

I was hoping to follow a plan of performance mods once all the other inside and outside stuff was completed. Intake, header, spipe, exhaust, nitrous, diagnostic monitor, (piggyback ecu if necessary). Do I have a solid plan or am I missing some major components? Also the car is an auto so there wont be any major engine mods after these unless they make some trans mods to strenthen the drivetrain.

You might want to consider going turbo instead. For $4250 you could buy the Descendant PnP kit, add 100hp and skip the header, s-pipe, exhaust and nitrous. The oem AT should hold up to 225whp with just a cooler.

If you stick with your IHE plan, you'll probably be lucky to get 150whp from $2000 in bolt-ons and 200whp with a 50 shot. I don't know your budget but there are AT mods available from IPT and Level Ten. They're not cheap though.

The only thing you missed is a NST UD pulley. For the diag mon, I like my Elm 327, Asus netbook and Palmer ScanXL. I can monitor and record everything from MAF flow to O2 voltage to EGT and of course, read and reset codes.

I guess I'll have to look into this turbo thing further.

Don't wanna go off-topic too much but is that similar to a ScanGauge II? Better, worse, about the same?

Scangauge II is more compact but it's also very basic. With the ELM327 OBD2 interface, a netbook/laptop and ScanXL, you can monitor, datalog and playback 220 generic OBD parameters, aftermarket wideband gauges and it also has dyno and dragstrip functions. SGII might be all you need but ScanXL and a PC will do much more. I paid $40 for a ELM327 and $80 for ScanXL software.

I also have a Scanguage, it's a cool little item, but once they come out with a docking station for the the acer aspire one, I'll be using my netbook, obdII adapter and software. I'll also be using it for GPS and like an ipod.
I'm ordering one of those mounts like they use in police cars.
