If you only buy tires, they can ship it to you or to an installer.
If you buy wheels and tires, they will mount+balance them for you, and ship them to you.

I've purchased from Tire Rack and they are great. I got the tires shipped to my house and found a cheap installer on my own to mount/balance everything.
For sanity reasons alone, I would recommend you getting the tires shipped to your own address rather than an installer. Just for precautions. Can't trust anyone nowadays.

I'll second the "ship to yourself" ... just so you know what they look like when they arrive and are sure you got what you ordered BEFORE you go to get them installed.
Tirerack is awesome (so is discounttiredirect.com actually). Just call around a few shops and get a quote on mount/balance price if you provide the tires. Anything under $20 per tire is decent... but $12-15 is good.

I love tire rack. I dropped 2200 bucks on my tires and rims. Then the guy called my house phone the next day to tell me the order went through. His name is Bart and i think his extension is 669 not sure anymore. But one of the coolest guys I have dealt with.

i just bought tires from them last week. went to their website monday morning and ordered four tires. chose the standard ups shipping, and they were delivered to my house the next morning.
i found a local mom-n-pop tire shop near my house that would mount and balance the tires for $12 a piece. they were booked, so i wound up going to ntb and they did it for $20 a piece.
for what it's worth, a number of places (at least around me) will not mount or install a tire unless the stickers from the mfg are still on them. i didn't take them off, but a lot of them clarified that they had to be on the tire for them to mount them.
fwiw, if i had to do it over again, i'd still go to tire rack.
good luck!

Discount tire will match prices or give you a really good deal on tires. Find the ones you want on tirerack and then print the add with the price and go to discount and be like i want these. Tirerack has been known to give out expired tires before. I havent heard any bad experiences in awhile but its happened. Anyways good luck.

last tires I bought were from tirerack.. I think the customer service was great, called me up 3 mins after I placed the order to verify the size, coz the ones I bought were wide and they checked if I know what I was doing.. then received tracking after an hour and got it in 3 days.. discount tire is also good but they just dont have the tires I want in stock

I love tirerack, bought my tires on saturaday and I am pretty sure they got to my house on monday. My mom and dad also order rims and tires from tirerack and they got to my house fast and were in perfect condition even though the ups or fedex driver admitted he had been throwing them around the truck all day because he thought they were just tires. lol
I have ordered from discounttiredirect before too and they had pretty fast shipping.

I can vouch for Tire Rack, great people and they are not shy to fess up to their own mistakes and make amends.
