i have a 2008 scion tc. I put a set of trd lowering springs with stock struts on my car about 5,000 miles ago and i have developed a problem. When i hit a bump my car sways side to side its fine going around turns and all it only does it on bumps or dips. To me it seems like a possible sway bar. the struts aren't leaking and still seem to be ok. Has anyone else had this problem? Wondering if bad springs could possibly cause this. Any suggestions would be great.

Take the midget out of your trunk. He gets angry when you hit bumps... lol

But seriously, the front end goes side to side or does it feel like it's coming from the rear of the car?

^^ thats hilarious! check the end links on your sway bars... other than that, check your struts. mine does something like that but, on the other hand, im on tanabe df's and stock struts and problem is my struts are going out!

hahahahaha. endlinks seem to be good not bent, or cracked and they are tight. The sway is coming from the rear and its bad feels like the rear end is gonna break loose. i'm gonna tokyo drift with a front wheel drive lol.

Silly question but I gotta start somewhere... are your lugnuts tightened all the way? What condition are the tires in? Any camber adjustments?

lugnuts are tight. tires are ok they have 17,xxx miles on them. and i had an alignment done when the springs were put on and they were all within suggested specs. maybe its possible that they went out of wack from potholes or something

Yeah, check to see if the springs are seated where they are supposed to be. If they spun that may be causing the problem.

checked them they are seated properly. possible that one of the springs are weak in the rear causing it to pull on one side when it hits a bump.

That is technically possible but hard to fathom going wrong. Try driving another TC with a similar setup to see if it may have the same feeling I guess. I'm all out of ideas without being able to drive the car myself lol.

I've been on stock struts and TRD's for quite some time now with no probs... as have many of my buddies. Who knows man.
