Well I have some khumos that suck an are are low pro tires so I wouldn't rub when I was slammed. But now that I'm boosted they suck an spin everywhere. I want a tire with great grip. Wat do u all suggest?

In that case we wont want to go wider than a 235 tire, so Id say look for either a 235/40/17 or a 225/45/17. the 225 series are more common and cheaper. For the type of tire, Ive had only great things to say about BFG gforce sports, and you can find them for around 110-125 a tire. Just a warning, theyre a UHP summer so dont push them too hard in the wet. Ive also had great luck with the yokohama sdrives, but they seem to wear a little quicker than the BFGs. Also, make sure youre properly aligned if youre lowered, as large toe settings >.6* will eat the softer rubber of these alive.

I've got yokohoma parada spec-2's right now. Haven't had any grip issues but I've only had them 5000 miles. Only complaint so far is road noise. The BFG's were my other choice. I just chose the yokohoma's because I liked the tread look better. Haha. Bad decision maker but oh well.

Those will work exceptionally as far as straight line traction is concerned but I wouldn't corner them too hard repetitively due to their extremely soft compound. Also you cant expect them to last near as long as even a UHP summer tire simply because of that. Theyre a racing tire that can be used on the street, instead of a street tire that can be used to race. Spirited driving will kill them fairly quickly and for a mainly street use car im not sure theyre worth it. But thats my opinion so feel free to get them if you want. If you can tell me what mix of stuff youre going to be doing with the car (streetracing :gun:, DDing, autocrossing, tracking, etc.) and what kind of driver you are, i can make a better recommendation.

I agree with Kalinakona as well, the parada spec2 would be a great choice as well. or the BFG TA KDW2. and a 235/45 will probably suit you well too, itll allow more sidewall flex for better straightline grip.

235 i think its a lil much. I got 225 on my 8" wide wheels. With 235 they are more expensive since its an odd size and less models to choose from. 225 is plenty for a 7.5" wide wheel.

Indeed I agree it is more pricey, but looking at the price of what he was thinking of earlier, it seems like it may be in his budget to get 235s as well and in that case we all know the extra cm will make a difference. And to OP the 2 choices highvoltage posted are also great if you want an all year tire.

And highvoltage, im sadly stuck on 235's right now as I got such a good deal on them (105 a tire!) but I will be back to atleast a 245 if not a 255 once these wear down. Theres no replacement for good ol' rubber. :icon_biggrin:

Not happy wit ur khumo tires any more, they're not gripping the asphalt, now that ur boosted! Well my friend, i found the tire for you; All you need in a tire, phenomanal grip, sticky as a mofo. That amazing tire is the YOKOHAMA Advan Neova AD08 tire, its only compition is BRIDGSTONES very own extreme summer the Potenza Re-11's. Oh yea, one more thing, their both expensive tires! Another really good tire (s) is the CONTINENTIAL DW's, the DW stands for dry & wet grip.
