Default Interior LED light question.

Hello,

I recently purchased Interior LED lights to put near the foot wells. I decided to follow the same steps I found in the instructions found in the illuminated door sill accessory. (http://www.trdsparks.com/install/00016-79820inst.pdf)

Going by these instruction i did a test and connected the led to six pin connector found on the junction block. Well the LED lights do work and it turn on when i open the door and then it automatically shut off after 20 seconds. So far so good

Now the only other thing i want the LED's to do is to also turn on when i switch the dome light to on. Is this possible? Should i connect the LED somewhere else so it can:

A) Turn on when the door is open and shut off after 20 seconds
B) Turn on using the dome light switch without having to open the door

Is this possible? Thanks in advance.

You'd have to run another (+) to your led from your (-) lead on your dome light. It would be best to also install a diode in each of your leads to prevent back-feeding.

so theres no other way to do this using the 6 pin connector?

I was looking at another site that suggested the same thing and connecting to the dome light connectors, but even if i did i dont know how to remove the ceiling and side panels to run the wires down to the foot-well.

back feeding?
