Default DDM HID?

Hi. I was looking to purchase this kit but had a few questions..

How come the kit does not come with a relay like some other kits do?

Also would I be safe to run a 55w kit on my 09 scion xb projectors?

I wouldn't run 55w. 35w is plenty and 55w hids tend to run quite a bit hotter, not good for projectors. DDM hids are a good value, but they have HORRIBLE customer service.

You should be fine with the 55W, I run them and have had absolutely no problems. As far as the relay goes, some say you don't need it, some say definately get it. I didn't have one for awhile, but when I did upgrade to the 55W HID's, I decided it would be safer to get the relay. For me it's worked out good, as I live in NY and HID's tend to be finicky in cold weather. In AZ where you are, you shouldn't have any problems related to HID's and temp. However for the few extra $$ to get the relay, I'd do it.

Well, this might change your mind about ordering from them. I was in florida for a while, and my HID bulb went out, so I ordered this kit from DDM, not only did it take 3/4 weeks to arrive to my house, but when I got it, the ballasts and the whole kit is ____ing cheap. I was ____ed, not only did I pay $55 for this kit, my other eBay kit I had was much nicer and I only paid $35 shipped. Honestly its a universal kit, go with the kit that actually goes with YOUR car. I know for sure DDM will never see another penny from me..

Hey JC ddm is located in San Diego!!!! If you have any problems you can take them back personally. I myself have had no problems and customer service is excellent.

I recommend and trust HIDextra. They took really good care of me and we have a ton of people on ScionLife who are very satisfied with them.

i have a DDM set and wouldnt recommend it. they have bad customer service and the set seems cheaper than the ones i bought from an apartment in the hood. i get a lot of flicker too on speed bumps or uneven roads.

I had 55w ddm's on my 2004 CBR 600rr and they were great and I did not have any problems. Different application, but same product. They were bright as $h!t...I loved them.
