anyone have a loose air cleaner inlet on their xD? while changing the air filter, the horn-like object seems loose and could be wiggled around. how many hours do you think it will take the dealer to fix it, because it looks like you need to unscrew the whole box.


i've uploaded a picture with the arrow pointing at the connection.

will this be covered under warranty? (2009 model with about 52,000 miles)
i think its because of the vibrations on the road and the adhesive is peeling away.

what happens if im driving and the inlet flies off, will it hurt the engine or other components?

 

If it falls off the engine will just suck air through the hole in the side of the air box. Will the dealer fix it or not I have no idea but in the end man I wouldn't lose any sleep over it either way. I just checked and the one on my xD has just little play but hey maybe they are suppose to be a little flexible.
