View Full Version : 5x7 Mb quarts c-pillar cubby! G man1 07-25-2010, 10:34 PM What do you think? scion619 07-25-2010, 10:58 PM Best use I have seen with the cubby so for with speakers awesome I love it!!!!! xB Cracker 07-26-2010, 12:27 AM That side looks very cool, but I want to see the smaller passenger side cubby. That's the trick side. G man1 07-26-2010, 12:36 AM There is the other side. Took forever though. My amp was going into protect mode because the coaxle speakers had an isolated ground too them, so i unhooked it due to the amp already being grounded. tonylunchbox19 07-26-2010, 02:25 AM Where can we get these? G man1 07-26-2010, 03:02 AM Just cut a template out of card board and traced it on a sheet of acrylic glass. Next I cut it out and sand down the rough edges. Speakers plus materials were under 50 bucks. XD40tC 07-26-2010, 03:04 AM Sweet. Good deal of sound enhancement? G man1 07-26-2010, 03:17 AM I can definitely hear it from the driver seat but from the back seat its great. The sound stage in the back is almost as good as the front. Hope my passengers like the sound though. KaneoheKoa 07-27-2010, 08:36 AM The stock rear door speakers can barely be heard, much less give any kind of rear stage fill. The Japanese box (I think they call theirs a Corolla!) has C-pillar mounted rear speakers. I'm still in the process of mounting my old Fosgate coaxials (5.25") in the cubbies, but haven't had the time yet. My baffles are plain old 1/2" Baltic birch ply. A real pain trying to cut the panels to match the cubby openings! lucytheshedevil 08-21-2010, 07:56 PM ^rumion btw 09XB24 09-11-2010, 02:54 PM http://i437.photobucket.com/albums/qq97/powerband3000/P5044010.jpg G man1 09-14-2010, 12:30 AM Looks like i was just outdone..... nice job on the setup. Sure they sound dynomight! mustb3ds 10-07-2010, 12:29 AM http://i437.photobucket.com/albums/qq97/powerband3000/P5044010.jpg i did my cubbies exactly like this also a while back i have hi fonics 6.5 components front and back woodygg 10-20-2010, 03:01 PM What do you think? looks good, but for sound quality, you shouldn't have any speakers (other than your sub) behind your fronts... unless you have some sort of sound processor to compensate - and even then i'd pass.... woodygg 10-20-2010, 03:03 PM Sweet. Good deal of sound enhancement? anyone putting in a serious system (not referring to those who think loud=better sq) won't have any rears...
