In this month's IEEE Spectrum magazine (a geek trade publication for electrical engineers) there is an article about a sports car called the VENTURI FÉTISH. The car has a 241-horsepower, all-electric motor and will do 0-60 in about 4.5 seconds. Top speed -- only 105 mph.
Here is the article:

At the end of the article they state the following:
Venturi uses AC Propulsion's drive and battery systems in the Fétish—essentially the same technology that is going into another AC Propulsion project: all-electric conversions of Toyota's boxy, utilitarian Scion xA and xB vehicles.
I thought the xB was going to be discontinued. Has anyone else heard of an electric Scion in the works?
By the way, this is a pretty reputable magazine and they usually get their facts right.
And for anyone interested in buying the venturi...it costs about $700,000!!!
