08 tC Brake Lights not working?!?!
Mine is different from others. I installed new LED Tails. My turns and parking lights are working fine. but none of the brake lights are working. I replaced a fuse and also replaced a brake switch but still nothing. then I checked for volts on the stop fuse in the engine compartment. it is getting no power to it. i am pretty sure it should have constant power. so is it possible I blew a wire. Or is there something else that it could be. I even went threw the trouble to put it back to stock and nothing.
Help me please because I don't want to bring it to the dealer.

which L.E.D. tails did you install? i think there are two 10a fuses for the stop lights/lamps. make sure all fuses are good. flip the connections on the L.E.D tails and see if that works. the connections for the brake lamps is what im talking about. post pics if you can. the more info you give us lets us help you out better..
Check fuses. Like an idiot, I blew through 10 fuses when I installed my LED tail lights last week. Thank god they're cheap! You need to check your connections and make sure they're installed the proper way and/or make sure the harness is plugged in tightly. Replace the fuses every time you find them blown. Every time you try the lights and nothing happens, check the fuses. If they're not blowing every time, then you have another issue. If they blow every time after you replace them, then you need to keep flipping your connections, checking your fuses, and replacing them as necessary until something works. Make sure your blinkers are working too.
Post a pic of the lights you're trying to install.

you say the stop fuse is getting no power? yeah the brake switch should come after that fuse, maybe not, but just in case check if the brake switch is getting power, or try and run a seperate power wire and check that you didnt somehow blow the switch.
I do a lot of custom wiring, I did one for my friend, just tapped a 10 amp fuse and ran it to the brake switch. Done Deal. you could use an add a circuit instead of just jamming a wire into the fuse slot like I did.

Sorry to restart an old discussion, but I’ve spent hours looking.
Just bought an 07. Brake light bulbs were blown so I bought some Sylvania LEDs and put them in. The tail light filament lights up when I have my headlights on, but the brake light doesn’t light up when I hit the brakes.
I have checked fuses and replaced the brake light switch and still the same issue.
I see where people were talking about the CK bulbs. Would my tail lights light up with my headlights on even if I didn’t have the Ck bulbs?

This is 5-minute job with multimeter.
Measure for voltage at bulb-sockets. If there's power at brake-light terminal, then something's wrong with bulbs. Pull them and bench-test them to make sure they actually work.
If there's no power at bulb-socket when you press pedal, you've got wiring-problem upstream. Work your way up wiring and test for lower at each junction. At some point, you'll find junction with power. Then problem is between that spot and previous one with no power.
