Some of my lights keep going out. It's my spedo light, my auto shifter lights, my ac lights and my tail lights. The head lights turn signals and brake lights work.
So I figured out which fuse runs these lights and have replaced the stupid fuse 4 times. put in three 10a fuses then put a 15 in. They all blow. The fuse that keeps blowing is the light 10a fuse(top right 10a fuse under dash).
I do have led brake light blubs . so i'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.
Ok heres the thing though that confuses me.
WHen i remote start the car all the lights work. I have a viper 751 I think thats the right model number. When i turn the key and press on the brake to take it out of remote start mode the lights go off(when fuse is blown).
Does anyone have any ides as to what the problem could be? Would a bugger fuse help>
Oh and I took it to the dealer adn all they did was put a new fuse in it. SO i don't wan tto take it back to them if I don't have to.

Did the fuse start blowing right after you got the remotestart alarm or after you put the led brake bulbsin or just out of the blue one day. It sounds like there maybe to much current being drawn thru that fuse, but if you answer the above questions, my make it easier to troubleshoot.

it jsut all of a sudden happened. The only thing different i have done is this. I had my taillights cleared out(IE I took out all the red covers out of the inside of the tail lights.. I put red led bulbs in there. I popped the lens cover off the light and smoked them out. so i figured i better put the round red cover back over the brake light bulb . SO thats the only thing different i have done lately. Everyting has worked fine up untill now. I have had my alarm on for about a year and had the led bulbs for about 6 months or more.
I did however take my car in to the shop to have the air worked on .It was leaking under the dash. so maybe they pulled a wire loose and messed up something?
other than that my alarm went off when someone brake into my box.
those are the only things that have happened to the box lately. so i guess today I will be trying to figure out what the heck is up.

OK, let me see if I got this straight...the fuse blows EVERY time you hit the brakes? If so, try taking the bulbs out, does it still blow? You likely have a shorted wire, check around the taillights, and see if you can see wiring under the dash coming off of the brake light switch, follow it as best you can with your eyes/hands, and see if there is a pinch point. There's always the put a paper clip in place of the fuse and watch for smoke technique................Seriously don't do that..........
A "LED is a diode it only allows current to flow in one direction,One way it lights and the other it is a dead short.
Unplug one bulb and check to see if it works if not unplug it and turn it over and try again if it works go to the other side,I know its a PITA but it should work.
Just make sure you have enough fuses and "Never" go larger than stock.

^^ yes...going from a 10 to 15 amp fuse is no no if you must use a different amperage fuse then go with a smaller one. ac work has nothing to do with it cuz all they had to do was vacuum the ac drain line.
