Wait for others to confirm what I am going to say:

I think that the two plugs shown in the ebay picture are of two options available.

You only use one or the other to plug into the Head Unit.

Again- Pls wait for others to confirm what I am saying.

Take a look at this thread, I bought the T1809 from him and didn't need the AUX/iPod cable in pic 2 since I have a 2009 with the center console AUX setup., this cable will allow the use of a iPod with this HU. Hope this helps.

I have the plug and play kit for sale. You don't need any splicing. Take a look at my thread. Compare the sockets of the headunit I have for sale to the one you have. Also you only use 1 plug from the harness, not both.

That's what you need, but I think his cable is OEM, ask him where he purchased it.

Default t1809 aux problem solved!

I got the t1809 and installed it into my 04 t4r about a week ago. I didnt have any of the Aux plugs that were supplied stock for the Scion vehicles, but that was not too big of a problem.
I did some some research and some quick thinking because people were complaining of the Aux not working if they installed the t1809 into an earlier model car (07'-89'?)...

The problem was obvious.. the t1809 didnt incorporate having aux running to the same plug as the steering controls like earlier models have (the t1808 and earlier models)
There is in fact a way that the 09 has incorporated the Aux into the same plug as the iPod controls... this long story basically means....

-buy the 10 dollar SC12235 iPod cable off ebay, and buy the adaptor that you can get anywhere... Its working right here in my car as we speak
-the adaptor I bought was made by "Cablejive". its a female iPod connector on one end, and a male 3.5mm jack on the other.. im sure it has a type of resistor inside. and has a red LED showing its working.
kinda neat
