Default Any recommendations for a new license plate location on the car?

I've been hassled in the past for not having a front license plate from the police, and was told that I can be given a ticket next time depending on the police officer who pulls me over.

So in fear of getting a ticket, I have been rolling around with my front license plate inside my car, placed between the front windshield and dash on the passenger side.

But I don't think it's a great nor safe location for the license plate, as it either rattles against the windshield or falls off, and it's an obstruction to my driving view. And I don't want to drill holes into my front bumper to place the license plate in it's original placement.

Where and how have you guys relocated your license plates?
