Default Where do you guys buy parts?

I think the blower motor is going in my '06 xA, after I find a good how-to or diagram, I think I'm going to try fixing this DIY. Kind of broke, and would like my extra money to go towards the holidays.

Where do you guys find affordable parts. I've seen posts saying I can find a blower motor for $40...everything I've seen is $100+.

Thanks

In case anyone else is having this issue --
87103-52080 seems to be the part number for the xA's blower motor and I found a TYC one on amazon for $55.

Think I'll order and dig around for a DIY guide on how to replace.

Thanks, I ended up buying from 1Aauto.com quick shipping and even a brief description on how to replace the part on their website. And they have a bunch of DIY videos on YouTube.

Rockauto.com and lkqcorp.com depending where you are.

Crutchfield.com and onlinecarstereo.com for all of my car audio needs.

Sometimes the bigger companies are the way to go. If I'm buying a new part, I will usually first try to figure out what type of deal I can get at autoanything.com (assuming they have the part). Several reasons: (1) they guarantee you the lowest price for one year, (2) they often have coupon codes available that will bring the cost down significantly (just bought a part from them for $143 w/ 15% end of month coupon when the lowest price I could find elsewhere was $155), (3) shipping is usually free and pretty fast, and (4) they are listed on ebates (so I got an additional $4 back on that part).

But sometimes I go for used parts, especially when the price of new seems outrageous. My xB didn't have a jack in it when I bought it used and I wanted one that tucks neatly under the seat. Used was the way to go on that one. I just put it into google and found several places selling a used oem jack for my car. But before I did that, I checked the local salvage yards. If I could have found one there, it would have been under $10. 2005 is still a little too new to have much luck at the salvage yards, but I would bet that same blower motor you were looking for was used on older Toyotas and maybe even other brands. So if you can figure out what other vehicles it was used on, you might have better luck. That said, I've bought blower motors for other cars I had and always ended up buying new because the price wasn't much more than used for some reason.

Smile Ebay all the way

Ebay is pretty good. I just bought a rear wheel bearing about 6 months ago. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rear-4-Stud-...1dcde1&vxp=mtr
I have been towing and hauling wall block with no problems for about 6 months now you just cant beat 33 bucks and 15 minutes to install it!
I have also bought a water pump for something like 30 dollars and it is still working.
