You can boost them very easily and reliably, or swap in a v6. Much more work for the v6 swap though, and boost will get you just as much power, if not more.

My only concern about boosting is working the engine to much.

Default I saw in the lounge that you might have a bent valve.

Welcome.

Have you had any estimates on getting the head removed and
the valve replaced?.....as a comparison versus a v-6?

Are you in Florida? Near where?-Bob

Ive only had an estimate for a full rebuild. Ive also looked into getting used tc engine, which is much cheaper than a complete rebuild. Ive just thought about the v6, someone had mentioned that earlier, probably more of a hassle im looking for.

Default Which transmissions will interchange between 4 cylinder and 6 cylinders?

I wonder if the transmission will interchange between engines.
With some cars, the bolt pattern and spacing is the same between
transmissions within a certain number of years.....might be worth looking into.

Also...call Advance/Autozone and see what an engine sells for.

Sometime back a friend (different car) would have to pay $750 for a new headgasket replacement. For $1,000 they could buy an engine, with....new headgasket and ZERO miles on the engine.

Search the internet and see if anyone else has done the v6 swap and what parts are needed.-Bob
