Default Well i'am getting a scion but one question?

I just want to know should i get a XA or a XB. Also for the people that financed it through toyota what is your apr? Lastley how reliable is the XA. Should i get fog lights on my scion.

I hopefully will get my scion mid july.

I don't think there should be a reliability difference under the hood on the A vs.B as they are both on the same platform = Echo.
What is it you want.
You want a box or an egg?

xAs are lighter and more aerodynamic, obviously at the cost of passenger room. The xAs also lack Stability/Traction control. You'll probably get better gas mileage out of an xA... There are some trade offs, you just need to weigh the options and make a decision based on what you want/need.

No difference in reliability. Fog lights can never hurt, as they come in handy in certain weather situations.

For me, Toyota financing was pretty competitive as far as rates go, the dealer should be able to compare for you.

you can get stability/traction if you can find a RS1, but those are pretty hard to come by nowadays.... I know there used to be 2 floating around CT that the dealers were really pushing, apparently they just couldnt sell them. But I havent seen them on the lots lately so i dont know if they got sold or just traded to other dealerships that had buyers who wanted them.

I financed though my credit union and got it for 3.9%

I have the XA and love it...tons of room in the back and after driving a honda civic for a couple weeks because my xa was in the shop. (I got rear ended) It made me love my xa so much more.....

You should first test drive them both some people don't fit on an XA they both have the same HP (10 the APR start about 6.1% to 14.9% I agree with XA-MAN a credit union might give you a lower APR but sometimes they are harder to get a loan with them.. remember this on Scions you don't shop price you shop APR but not at dealerships but at a CU

if you like them both, why not get the xa? it's cheaper.

The horsepower is only in the ideal lab environment. I put my xA on the dyno and it made 86 HP. Of course I ran it on 18inch rims so that was part of the problem lol. I also think that you should test drive both and see which one you like better. There are mods you can do to both xA and xB to improve traction, stability, and performance....so it's really up to you. After I bought my xA, I had it lowered on Eibach springs, a TRD front strut tower brace put on, TRD exhaust, AEM cool air intake, and 18inch Enkei RS7 rims. They gave me an xB for a loaner car while this was done and I did not like it one bit. But that's just me :-)

The Consumer Reports Aug. 2004 issue rated both the Scion xB and Scion xA. (page 54 & 55.) Consumer Reports recommended the Scion xb (and the Mazda3). It stated "The scion xA has many of the shortcomings of it's cousin, the Scion xB and does not compensate with a roomy interior, nor does the xA come with standard electronic stability control (ESC) as does the xB. Acceleration is unexceptional with both transmissions and the engine is buzzy. The stiff, choppy ride is very uncomfortable and slightly worse than that of the xB. Versatility of the rear hatchback and fold-down seats offsets a very small cargo compartment. We expect the xA's reliability to be very good however." It gives a poor rating for ride (comfort) for both vehicles and a poor rating for the xA trunk.
I prefer the box, if you did not already know.
p.s. the predicited reliability from consumer reports for BOTH vehicles is very good!
