Default Another tC sound question

When I get out of the car after a drive, there is a clinking sound, kinda like fluid boiling hitting against metal if that makes sense at all. It is continuous for a couple of minutes after I get out (clink clink clink, but softly). My temperature gauge is normal so I don't think its running too hot. I ignored the sound because my last car did it too, but not as much as the tC. Then the other day my friend noticed it and asked me what the fk is that noise? Any comments?

It's just heat. It happens to many cars. Very normal. I hear it on mine too. No biggie.

Sometimes the heat guards around things in the car can expand and then shrink back up while the car is cooling and make that sound.

Yup, it's just metal contracting as it cools.

Yes, I did read that part in the manual. But I was asking about when the car was just shut off. Just verifying with other tC owners that you hear the sounds as often as I do. As mentioned before, my last car did it too (but not as loud or as much), so I wasnt too worried.

I posted this question because my friend thought it sounded abnormal, so I wanted some reassurance.

Could also be condensation from the A/C unit dripping onto heat pieces. Or something similar to that.
