A jackpoint perhaps? I'm still trying to figure out the sponge rubber thing that was sitting the cupholder when I picked it up.

It's for a tow point. You take out that plug, and in your car, with the spare I think, there is a threaded bar with an eyelet. this threads into a hole behind the plug and gives you a place to hook a rope or whatever onto it. It should be in your owners manual. The one on the front is located behind the drivers side lower grill. There is a peice of the grill that pops out.

I believe it is a tow point. if you pop it out there should a threaded hole for a large eyebolt contained with the spare/jack and such. It is needed because of the low skirts.

It is a tow point, there is also one on the front lower grill driver side.If you pop off the cover you ill see a threaded hole and with your spare a tow hook that screws into it.

Seems like a tiny spot to try to put a rope on. Looks like it would tear your bumper up! I think if I ever need a tow it will be on a roll back.....

Thanks for the replies!

its a great place to mount a backup camera, because if you ever remove it when you sell, just replace the plug, no bumper to patch...

Actually, it's for attaching the rear-mount machine gun option. I think it was the 007 item under the "exterior" tab on the "BuildYourScion" page. Pretty cool i guess, but probably really expensive.

I'm still trying to figure out the sponge rubber thing that was sitting the cupholder when I picked it up.
I was told it was for a mp3 or a cell phone, my phone does sit nicely in it.

I want to know what the hole in the front dash down by the hood release is for. It seems too low to put stuff in and there is some kind of notch cut out in it too. Things that make you go hummmm.

When you car is on the ship from Japan, the lashing belts were hooked onto the eyes and the other end of the belt hooked on the deck and tightened. This is so that your precious do not shift when the ship is rolling on the Pacific Ocean.

The square plugs in the bumpers, the foam thing in the cupholder, the hole in the dash by the hood release (fuse box access).

Doesn't anyone read their owners manual?!? It's a wealth of information about your box.
