I Know that but did you get the special holder for the cup holder for the MP3/Ipod/Cell phone as shown in the previous photo? and did you get the plugs as mentioned for under the car with your 2006?

 

yes i did get the holder . and i checked under the car and there are plugs where they are supposed to be.

 

If it's for towing, why isn't it centered on the bumper?

 

Are you all sure its not supposed to be flat bed towed only and that is just to hold it in place?

IMO an xB can NOT be towed with the back end up....the front would scrap too much!



Who needs the owners manual when we have Scion Life?? Gives us stuff to talk about! The OM is for when we're stranded somewhere with no computer.

be careful and use a nylon tool or a screwdriver. but no matter what .. BE CAREFUL

 

its in fact a tow hook attachment i have used it many times and works great and will not affect ur bumpr

 

So why isn't it centered on the bumper? Seems like being offset to one side like it is would affect towing it (like maybe make it drift to one side while towing).

 

It's not for towing as in towing a trailer. It's for getting pulled out of a ditch or onto a flatbed or whatever.

 

You all do realize that you probably can't get towed the regular way right?

I would assume anyways that our cars are too low and would have to be flat bed towed...at least Id make them do it that way if it ever came up!!

I still think its more of a hook area than TOW...JMO.

Towing is only allowable on a flatbed or dolly type ....No HOOK for the xB ................That too is in the owners manual..He he.......
