I looked again with the picture in my hand and I'll be damned if I can even see anything remotely looking like the picture. I'm looking under the car in front of the rear tire like what i assume the picture is showing and I just don't see it. Well if it floods while driving in the rain or snow it's wasn't my fault.

Well LunchLady, while you were "picture in hand" I was under my camobox for the first time and took a couple more pics.

The center of this pic is the approx. area where the plug would go on the drivers side taken from beside the box.

This pic is taken from under the center of the vehicle looking sideways to where the camera was in the first shot. The oval shaped hole in the grey frame member in the center of the pic needs plugged.

Straight up shot of hole.

Hole plugged.

Drivers side rear shipping tie down, right behind rear axle, there is one on each side.

Looking at my second pic (from below the car) you can see that the hole is a couple of inches higher than the lowest point at the edge of the car. I don't think it's possible to see the hole unless you are under there. You may be able to see the hole on the opposite side from where you are, or just use the pic to orient yourself with what's under there and feel around for it.

yeah my phone fits perfect (motorola v400). the paper that came with that thing calls it a "multi-function electronic device holder"
it looks like the new ipod nano would fit perfectly in it too.

Sooo your saying that yes there should be two up front also?! Do I need some KY to "feel around"? Well it's late now but in the morning I'm getting under there to find them!!! I'll let you know if I'm successful.

I got shafted on the cupholder/ipod thing! We got an '06... no holder thing. oh well, we got it for the price of an '05.

If you remove the spare tire you will find the screw that goes into the sqaure hole in the original question. It is a tow point. This concept is used on a lot of cars where air drag is a big deal.. check out some of the upper end BMWs and Mercedes.

That's explained in the owners manual under towing.

Ok then I'm not going to crawl under the car again to look. I didn't think there were any in the front be cause I got under there when I found the ones in the back and they were right where you said they were.

The only thing I could never figure out was, what the felt square was for in the rear cup holder!

Is it true its just there to protect that screw from rusting bc of cup use?

All else fails read the directions, ie; The OWNERS MANUAL !!

It's all there. In black and white...... But beware if you don't read the manual about towing your xB with the Hook that goes in that little hole......If you have an automatic!
