Doesn't anyone read their owners manual?!? It's a wealth of information about your box.
I did read the manual and looked at the pictures that point out what all of the holes & dials are on the dash but didn't see that the hole on the lower left by the hood release was for the fuse access I'm going right now to check it out

Ok, went and checked, your right it is the fues access I didn't read up on the fuses yet so I didn't see that. I still think that it should be incleded in the diagram at the front of the manual where they point out all of the other nooks & crannies, dials and such. Thanks for your help Now I can sleep at night!

You're welcome. You're also correct, it should be included in the diagram.

My father told me that it is there to show that the bumper wasnt created in the United States but he could be wrong. They are circles and squares on every euro car you see either on the front or back bumper. So if your car is imported or your bumer is it's most likely gonna have one.

Now wait just a minute. That square hole in the rear bumper is put there exclusively for those of us who like to top off our fuel tanks. It is where the 'catch can' nozzle goes.

No NO NO.....it's where the turn crank goes to wind up before you go, like a jack-in-the-BOX

if you look in your glove compartment you'll see 2 plastic bags containing 2 rubber grommets, a total of 4. if you look underneath your car near the jackpoints you'll see a total of 4 holes same shape as the grommet. plug them holes to prevent water from getting in your car. manufacturer didn't install em cuz of shipping puposes

I had no sponge thingy or rubber grommets in my cup holder or glove box. I looked under the car and have no idea what I'm looking for. I looked in the manual but not sure what to look up. Found the info on towing and how to use the towing plug. Are there any pictures to show what you are talking about with these grommets? Maybe they put them in and I don't know what I'm looking for. Maybe if there was a picture I could better know what I'm trying to find, or a referance to look up in the manual.

you can put a garage door opener in that fuse box cover. I also fit my cell-phone belt clip in there..

Here's a pic of the plastic plugs that were left in my glovebox, and the information on the bag they came with. I only got one bag with two plugs. Noting who the instructions are for, makes me wonder what else they didn't do.

Here's a pic of the sponge rubber thing in the cupholder both empty and with cell phone.

Well I know for sure I didn't get the cup holder thingy. Are those suppose to come with the 2006 xB's? There are so many holes under that car I'm not sure which ones are suppose to be plugged. I'm going to take the pic's with me to the dealer when my plates come in and show them. But only if these items are to come with the 2006. Thanks for your help
