Default Wheel studs long enough on the tC?

I recently got me a set of Volks CE28 18"x 7.5" wheels for my tC. I notice that the lugs don't seat very far in. Maybe about 1/3 to 1/2 inside of the lug. Is this something that I should be worry about and get some longer studs to get more thread count inside of the lug? Since the stock lugs are not the typical acron style lugs nuts they would seat way inside the lug hole. Has anyone else with aftermarket wheels notice or had problems with this?

I do have aftermarket lugs that are 12x1.5mm. It is the aftermarket lugs that are shorter on the studs.

are you trying to use stock lugs on aftermarket wheels? if so, that wont work. you'll need conical seat lugs to fit.

i have volk LE28N's on my tc. they sat perfectly fine on the factory studs. i used gorilla, muteki, and then volk wheel lugs (not simulatneously).

As I have mention on my previous post that I am using aftermarket lug nuts. The lug nuts that I am using are open ended so I can see the stud only going about 1/3 to 1/2 into the nut. The lugs do fit perfectly fine but I am just concern that the nut is sitting kinda shallow. eg. Just like if you were to add spacers on your wheels without changing out to longer studs. Then you would put the lugs back on but it will sit shorter. That's how I see my lugs now. Bascially, is there a min. thread count that a lug should go in before it is unsafe and the wheel will fall off? Thanks guys for your help.

torque them down properly and they will not come off, check them after a couple of days and tighten if necessary

you will want to make sure that you get at least 6 full turns of the lugnut, so that the poad is placed on a large enough portion of the stud to handle the weight, good simple way to check is take teh width (12) by the pitch (1.5) divide it and it gives you 8 take a turn or two off and youll be fine, thus 6 is the minimum
