Default Pedestal Spoiler and front bumper license plate

Just got my pedestal spoiler installed today from a local auto store. they didnt have the 3.5 inch drill to make the hole from inside the trunk so they use this big drill (dunno wut's it called) and make an awkward shape of hole and while they were drilling the hole from inside and the trunk was held high, the trunk was rattering like it's the end of the world. When the job was finally done, I realized that the trunk seems slower when goin up, what i mean is when i open the trunk and let it go at the point where it starts going up by itself, it was slower compared to before. I know u might say it's the spoiler, but anyone who's handled a pedestal spoiler before knows that it actually isn't as heavy as it seems but from the looks of it, it seems like there's a fat ___ sitting the the trunk when it's goin up. Anyone feels the same or do i need to replace a new set of stuts? BTW, i got charged for $70, is it worth it?

My next question is, when I asked them to drill two holes on the front bumper so i can mount my plate on the front but then they said they can't just drill holes on the front and screw the plate it, it wont be stable, i have to take off the whole front bumper or whatever's behind it to do "something", i dont know what to mount it. Looked like another 70~100 dollars job to me so i decided not to. So did i get rip off anyway??

You can just drill in the front bumper with the tipped screws, just drill them in with a drill and it will be perfectly fine, I did this at the dealership I used to work at and it was very stable.

I have the pedestal spoiler and it sometimes is slow going up, there is a little weight to it to slow the hatch down a little but nothing too noticeable.

actually the bracket DOES require screws, but not up front but at the bottom of one side so it's pretty much unnoticeable. I know this b/c i already talked to that guy. Anywayz, I think i should mount it at the center instead of the side b/c it does look a bit weird on the side for the tC.
