6000k McCulloch HIDs **56k ?maybe?**
yay! my hids came in today. About six days business days ago i ordered these from chopstix. He was very helpful throughout the process. You can hit him up on aim @lastdrift5o. Now lets get started on the kit.

Rushed home after school to find this sitting for me in my bedroom!

The contents within the kit include:
2x ballasts & igniters
2x adapters
-pack of zipties
2x double sided tape
Installing was a breeze. It took about 30 minutes because I was trying to decide where I should mount the ballasts. When you have hooking up the adapters remember this, it is always black wire (from kit) to white wire (factory harness.)

At first there was no glare at all during the day.

But then nighttime came... ouch...

Looks sweet next to my yellow hi-beams
All in all its a nice kit but it will require lowering of the beam. Next month when I get some more dough I'm going to pick up a wiring harness that'll draw power from the battery instead of the factory harness. As for you retrofit addicts that are going to come in here, I understand what your trying to say about the glare but no chance in hell am I going to dish out that much $$ for a retro unless I win the lottery which isn't happening.

^^ thanks man.
I would also like to apologize for my incredibly dirty car. She'll get a bath some time this week when it starts warming home here in MA.

this is a pic of the cutoff from my car when it was stock.

I was wondering abuot the box too but I figured it was normal because retailers put them in their own boxes like xenondepot kits which utilize phillips parts. I'll have some pics of where i mounted the ballasts up for you later tonight or tomorrow for you beantowntc. I have a question for those who have a kit in the OEM housing, did lower your beam because there is some glare on bumpy roads and inclines.
I haven't looked at the back of the housing to see how to lower the aim. I'm sure its just a screw or something. You'll be even better if you had a s-tech drop makes the front end very low so glare would be even more minimized.
how do you lower the beam..? i have looked everywhere on the housing and have not figured out how to...
anyways... i bought a hella 4100K kit with the rebased HID bulb D2R... and these bulbs have a cover in certain sections .. ( the same material you see on the front of the regular low beam bulbs.. the black stuff on the tip... ).. but on the philips HID bulbs it is not on the tip but in different sections of the bulb.. and it drastically changes the pattern.. so there is hardly any glare.. well atleast compared to what i see on the other kits...
i mounted the balasts inside the fender on each side.. i had to take the well covers off .. not too hard and there are spots that you can use to mount the balasts.. i used heavy duty double sided 3m tape... i must say .. i am extremely happy with the kit..

again sorry for the no-pics...
Honestly I still think this car can do without projectors. Reason why I think that is because when I placed my hand over the eyelid of the headlights, the glare was gone. As a matter of fact, you can even see the rainbow line like on projectors on the cutoff from the eyelids. IMO eyelids are ugly on these cars so I'm going to find another way around this.
