Any interest in a sheet metal intake manifold?
Hi all. We are contemplating manufacturing a sheet metal intake manifold for Scions.
We are presently moving into production with such a manifold for Volkswagen's VR6 engine. We chose this route upposed to the old standby of porting/polishing. The manifold can be polished, or powder coated to your color choice.
We would need a tester vehicle in the Ft. Lauderdale, FL. area. This project is scheduled for later summer/early fall. If anybody might be interested, please contact me via e-mail: tony@adaracinginnovations.com. Thanks very much.

Would this really have any benefit to the scion engine? If it is made of sheetmetal wouldn't it heat up faster then the plastic and in turn reduce the amount of cool ait entering the engine?
It will help if it is designed properly. Can you tell me your proposed design specs? Such as plenum volume, runner length and dia. Do you plan to fabricate velocity stack bellmouths in the plenum? What throttle body would it accept? What type of testing do you plan to do and are you willing to throw a couple of tries away to get a manifold that really works? I ask these questions because the perfromance parts available so far for this car generate very little HP and were not designed with any science in mind,
There is much to consider before firing up that welder....
