Default Looking to buy upgrades, need help deciding which ones.

Ok so I'm looking to pick up an intake, set of headers and soon enough an exhaust for my new xA. There are a ton of options out there for this stuff so I was hoping you guys could help me decide what the best choices are for all of them. I would love to go with the k&n intake and the Magnaflow exhaust. The only problem is that they are going to put a SERIOUS hurting on my pocket. As for the headers I have no idea what route to go. Is there really any difference between the $200 k&n intake system and the $50 no name intakes they sell on ebay? I mean I can get headers and an intake both for like $150 total but that just seems like it cant be as good as getting all name brand quality stuff. Anyway, back to my original point, Im trying to find out what my best options are. I want quality stuff but I'm trying hard to avoid spending crazy money.

ok, for the intakes... I would deffinately suggest against anything that is not name brand on ebay or under $100 because it is most likely a scam. Intakes and exhaust have buyer's guides... look up top at Vehicles -> xA

When i got my xA i couldn't swap out the springs and wheels and tires fast enough. It comes down to this: How much faster will the xA be with a new intake and exhaust VS how much better will it look with lowering springs and larger wheels and tires?

Well im definitely going with intake and exhaust first, my real debate is if I should go with name brand high money or the cheap ebay special stuff. When it comes to the intake and headers it all pretty much looks the same. I just want to know if it performs as well. I cant really afford the new rims and tires yet so thats going to have to hold off for a little while.

Anyone else have any input? I have two conflicting opinions.

Just purchased a Sliver xA myself last week. Am looking at intakes myself.

Personally bent aluminum pipe is bent aluminum pipe no matter who's name is on it- shoot it may all come from the same place.

That said does changing the intake effect the warrenty on my vehicle or not?

Yea thats what I figure. I mean how much can any of them really be different. And from what I understand the intake doesnt effect the warranty. Atleast thats what the guy at the dealership told me when I bought the car.

no. it does not affect your warranty. but if it causes damage, that's another story. so i suggest, just to be in the safe side, go get something that has been tested and dyno proven such as injen, AEM etc..
